I am fascinated with newsreels from the beginnings of the State of Israel. The so-called "Zionist Realism" is anything but a reflection of reality, it is hard-core propaganda.

In this series, for each work I choose a single frame from the full "news" item.  Rendering the image in ink softens the image and in the process raises questions about the content and context of what is generally considered to be documentary history.
